I periodically analyze teams’ recent performances using a metric I call “adjusted goal differential,” calculated as 30% goal differential combined with 70% xG differential in matches with 11 players on each side. This metric isn’t adjusted for opponent strength and doesn’t predict future outcomes; rather, it illustrates the teams enjoying the best form. Below are the 30 hottest teams from the Big Five European leagues since the season began.
