</div>The UEFA Women’s Champions League for the 2026-27 season is officially in progress with the league phase kicking off. Matchday 1 not only showcased some surprises from lower-ranked teams but also reaffirmed the strong legacy of established programs. Thus, it’s time to present the power rankings for the UWCL.
With the second year under the newly devised format featuring an 18-team league phase and six matches that mimic the Swiss model, unexpected outcomes are still very much possible. The top four teams will advance to the quarterfinals, while eight will proceed to a playoff knockout round, leaving six teams to exit the competition.
For now, the question remains: how do these teams stack up against one another? Can a newcomer’s goal against seasoned competition elevate them to the levels of past champions? Likewise, does a historically dominant team’s solid performance against a less experienced side solidify their spot among the tournament’s elite?
<p>This is the essence of power rankings; there’s no definitive right or wrong, merely stimulating discussions and differing perspectives. Following every match week in the UWCL league phase, fans will be able to observe the evolving patterns among the clubs through these rankings.</p>
<p>Team movement in the ranks will rely heavily on performances, or sometimes the lack thereof. Exceptional individual displays will also carry weight and be taken into account alongside collective efforts.</p>
<p><em>Fans can catch all the live action on CBS Sports platforms, including Paramount+, which will stream matches throughout the season. Additionally, some selected games will air on CBS Sports Golazo Network and CBS Sports Network.</em></p>
