There are five remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL, but only three of them are worthy of Top 10 placement right now. One of those winless clubs barely scraped into the Top 20, underscoring how much work it still must do. Early-season records can be misleading — especially after the Week 3 wave of upsets — so wins alone don’t tell the full story. Here are my power rankings heading into Week 4. (Super Bowl odds from DraftKings.)
Miami Dolphins — Record: 0-3 (Prev: 32)
Super Bowl odds: +100000. Next: @ Vikings (4:05 p.m. ET)
They battled the Chiefs until the final minutes, but offensively they’ve been a disaster and just lost RB De’Von Achane for the year. That removes their best trade asset and deepens a season that already looks lost; wins are hard to find on their slate.
Stat to know: Miami has begun 0-3 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1968–69.
Tennessee Titans — Record: 0-3 (Prev: 30 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +50000. Next: @ Ravens (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Cam Ward has yet to justify being a No. 1 pick; he struggled in the rain against the Giants and threw a costly end-game INT. The defense has kept them competitive, but if Ward doesn’t improve, patience in Nashville will run out.
Stat to know: The Titans have opened 0-3 in three straight seasons.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Record: 0-3 (Prev: 24 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +10000. Next: vs. Packers (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Tampa Bay is in disarray. Baker Mayfield is injured and hadn’t been sharp beforehand, the offense is stagnant, and the defense’s good-looking numbers are inflated by weak opponents. Todd Bowles’ job could be on the line if results don’t improve soon.
Stat to know: The Bucs are 2-10 in their last 12 games (including last season).
Los Angeles Chargers — Record: 0-3 (Prev: 25 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +6500. Next: @ Seahawks (4:25 p.m. ET)
Talent-wise they shouldn’t be this low, but they’ve been chronically overrated and now sit 0-3 with a brutal upcoming stretch. Justin Herbert must lift this team, protect himself better, and receivers must clean up drops.
Stat to know: The Chargers have scored under 20 points in six straight games (regular season + playoffs), their longest such streak since 1998.
New York Jets — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 28)
Super Bowl odds: +20000. Next: @ Bears (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Geno Smith has surprisingly played well and has yet to throw an interception; the defense has been solid overall. They won’t be contenders, but they’re a more watchable and competitive team than expected, and a manageable stretch of opponents lies ahead.
Stat to know: Kenyon Sadiq’s 105 receiving yards is the most by a Jets rookie tight end since Dustin Keller in 2008.
Arizona Cardinals — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 27)
Super Bowl odds: +30000. Next: @ Giants (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
The Cardinals boast exciting young skill players and Jacoby Brissett is throwing plenty, but their offensive punch may produce high-scoring losses until the roster and scheme mature. The NFC West will be unforgiving.
Stat to know: Brissett’s 38 completions vs. the 49ers were the third-most in a single game in Cardinals history.
Green Bay Packers — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 20 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +5500. Next: @ Buccaneers (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
If you were upset at my prior placement, Thursday’s home loss to Atlanta should be sobering: without suspended Josh Jacobs they can’t run, and the team remains inconsistent. They need a statement win in Tampa.
Stat to know: Allowing 35 points in the home opener was their worst home opener defensive showing since 1971; it also snapped a 13-year home opener winning streak.
Atlanta Falcons — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 31 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +12000. Next: @ Saints (Mon, 8:15 p.m. ET)
Bijan Robinson and Drake London exploded vs. Green Bay — maybe Michael Penix Jr.’s play is the missing piece. The upcoming schedule is tough, so it’s unclear if this performance is sustainable.
Stat to know: Robinson and London have combined for three games of 150+ rushing yards and 150+ receiving yards as a duo — the most by any teammate pair in NFL history.
Washington Commanders — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 29 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +8000. Next: vs. Colts (Sun, 9:30 a.m. ET in London)
Marcus Mariota engineered an upset of the defending champs and the win buys time until Jayden Daniels returns. The run game and defense still showed weaknesses, but Mariota’s job is to hold the fort against manageable opponents.
Stat to know: The Commanders snapped a six-game home losing streak with their win over Seattle.
Cleveland Browns — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 26 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +20000. Next: vs. Steelers (Thu, 8:15 p.m. ET)
Two straight wins have lifted Cleveland out of the cellar, with the defense (led by Jared Verse) doing much of the heavy lifting. Deshaun Watson hasn’t lit it up yet, but this team has momentum heading into a rivalry matchup.
Stat to know: The Browns are 4-1 in their last five games dating back to last season.
Houston Texans — Record: 0-3 (Prev: 18 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +3500. Next: vs. Cowboys (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
The Texans’ defense is carrying them, but the offense — particularly C.J. Stroud and the backfield — has been underwhelming. They’ll hit a softer part of the schedule soon, but repeating last year’s late-season surge is far from guaranteed.
Stat to know: Houston has started 0-3 in consecutive seasons; only the 2025 and 2018 Texans have made the playoffs after such starts since 2000.
New York Giants — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 19 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +15000. Next: vs. Cardinals (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
A gritty, if not pretty, win in bad weather. Jameis Winston exposed QB issues, and losing edge rusher Brian Burns for the year is a major blow. The Giants can still climb but will need steady coaching and improved QB play.
Stat to know: Sunday was the Giants’ first win in seven games without Jaxson Dart at quarterback.
Las Vegas Raiders — Record: 3-0 (Prev: 22 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +9000. Next: vs. Chiefs (Sun, 4:25 p.m. ET)
They’re unbeaten but benefited from weaker opponents to start the year. Kirk Cousins’ hot start may not last, and a brutal next eight games could quickly expose limits. Enjoy 3-0 while you can.
Stat to know: Their 30+ point output ended a 39-game drought dating to Dec. 14, 2023.
Indianapolis Colts — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 23 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +7000. Next: @ Commanders (Sun, 9:30 a.m. ET in London)
A dramatic defensive turnaround in Week 3 was encouraging — holding Houston to 223 yards after early-season struggles. With Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor, this team could make a push if the defense continues to show up.
Stat to know: The Colts snapped a five-game losing streak vs. the Texans.
Dallas Cowboys — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 17 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +2800. Next: @ Texans (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Big-money defensive acquisitions aren’t producing; the pass rush and secondary have been quiet. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are doing their part offensively, but the defense must step up soon to salvage expectations.
Stat to know: CeeDee Lamb recorded his 29th 100-yard game, second in franchise history behind Michael Irvin.
New England Patriots — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 11 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +2400. Next: @ Bills (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
What once looked like a promising Vrabel–Maye pairing is off to a rocky start: Maye is turnover-prone, the run game is ineffective, and the defense was porous vs. Jacksonville. A loss in Buffalo could spell real trouble for New England’s aspirations.
Stat to know: Drake Maye is the first QB since 2007 to have only one passing TD and at least six INTs through the first three games.
Carolina Panthers — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 16)
Super Bowl odds: +10000. Next: vs. Lions (Sun, 8:20 p.m. ET)
Bryce Young leads the league in passing yards and the offense has explosive pieces, but they failed to finish in Cleveland. Against Detroit they should be more aggressive, but they also must figure out how to stop opponents.
Stat to know: Young has 939 passing yards through three games, the second-most in Panthers history for that span.
New Orleans Saints — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 15)
Super Bowl odds: +8000. Next: vs. Falcons (Mon, 8:15 p.m. ET)
They’ve had costly turnovers that negated strong offensive showings from Tyler Shough and company. With weapons on offense, New Orleans belongs in the top 15, but they need to clean up the self-inflicted mistakes.
Stat to know: Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant became the third pair of teammate tight ends to each catch 2+ TDs in the same game.
Pittsburgh Steelers — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 21 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +5000. Next: @ Browns (Thu, 8:15 p.m. ET)
Aaron Rodgers looked revitalized in a bounce-back performance vs. Cincinnati, and the offense showed signs of life. A favorable upcoming schedule gives Pittsburgh a chance to build momentum if they sustain their scoring.
Stat to know: Rodgers and coach Mike McCarthy reached 100 regular-season wins together, the only QB–HC duo to do so across two franchises.
Detroit Lions — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 14 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +1900. Next: @ Panthers (Sun, 8:15 p.m. ET)
One of the league’s most explosive offenses, led by Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown, yet the defense remains a major liability. Their offensive firepower keeps them dangerous, but defensive fixes are needed for top-10 status.
Stat to know: First time in Lions history scoring 30+ points in each of their first three games.
Minnesota Vikings — Record: 3-0 (Prev: 13 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +2400. Next: vs. Dolphins (4:05 p.m. ET)
They’re off to a surprise 3-0 start thanks to a dominant defense under Brian Flores and strong coaching from Kevin O’Connell. Kyler Murray’s play is still a work in progress, and Justin Jefferson’s ankle is a concern, but this squad is peaking at the right time.
Stat to know: The Vikings have won eight straight games dating back to 2025.
Philadelphia Eagles — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 9 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +1700. Next: vs. Rams (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
The Eagles looked off early in the season and that showed in Chicago; Jalen Hurts and the defense were underwhelming. The coming games against the Rams and Jaguars are key — losses there could spiral into a real problem.
Stat to know: Monday marked their first September loss since Sept. 29, 2024.
Jacksonville Jaguars — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 12 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +2200. Next: @ Bengals (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Trevor Lawrence hasn’t had a signature passing game yet, and the offense under Liam Coen hasn’t fired on all cylinders, but the Jaguars keep winning convincingly. This upcoming trip to Cincinnati will be a better measure of where this offense really is.
Stat to know: Jacksonville is 10-1 in its last 11 regular-season games, the best mark in the NFL over that span.
Los Angeles Rams — Record: 1-2 (Prev: 5 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +670. Next: @ Eagles (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
I remain high on this roster, but a brutal schedule and late-game lapses (plus injuries to key players) could already be taking a toll. Matthew Stafford’s volume passing should help, but mistakes late in games are costly.
Stat to know: Stafford became the first player to throw 20,000+ yards with two franchises — and also holds the record for most pick-sixes thrown.
Baltimore Ravens — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 9 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +900. Next: vs. Titans (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
They escaped with a dramatic road win over Dallas and remain a legitimate Top 10 team if Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry stay healthy. The defense needs to correct inconsistencies, but a soft upcoming stretch could help them build momentum.
Stat to know: Since 2019, the Ravens are 16-1 on the road vs. non-conference opponents, the best mark in the NFL.
Cincinnati Bengals — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 4 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +1700. Next: vs. Jaguars (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Their defense regressed in Week 3, but Joe Burrow continues to click with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt despite a stumble, but their showdown with Jacksonville will be revealing.
Stat to know: Burrow recorded his 14th career game with 3+ passing TDs and 0 INTs, third-most in Bengals history.
Chicago Bears — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 10 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +2400. Next: vs. Jets (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Ben Johnson’s coaching shone even with Case Keenum under center; the Bears looked sharp and controlled vs. Philly. They’ll likely coast through a manageable slate while waiting for Caleb Williams to return healthy.
Stat to know: Keenum became just the sixth QB age 38+ to record at least 240 passing yards, two+ TDs, and a rushing TD in a game.
Seattle Seahawks — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 2 ↓)
Super Bowl odds: +1000. Next: vs. Chargers (Sun, 4:25 p.m. ET)
Sam Darnold’s return spurred a big win, though two interceptions made the difference. Seattle’s defense looks elite so far and should remain formidable; the offense and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba should continue to produce.
Stat to know: Jaxon Smith-Njigba joined Jerry Rice and Marvin Harrison Sr. with historic receiving numbers through three games.
Kansas City Chiefs — Record: 3-0 (Prev: 8 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +1050. Next: @ Raiders (4:25 p.m. ET)
They didn’t play flawlessly vs. Miami, but with Patrick Mahomes and the new dimension Kenneth Walker III adds, they look very dangerous. They’ve got a softer stretch next and could be 4-0 heading into the bye.
Stat to know: Mahomes passed Tom Brady for the third-most wins by a player in his first 10 seasons since 1950.
Denver Broncos — Record: 2-1 (Prev: 6 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +2000. Next: @ 49ers (Sun, 4:25 p.m. ET)
Sean Payton’s Broncos staged a stunning second-half comeback vs. the Rams. If Bo Nix and the offense can start faster more often, Denver can be a real threat; they’ve already shown resilience with multiple comeback wins.
Stat to know: Since 2025, Bo Nix has seven fourth-quarter comebacks and nine game-winning drives — the most in the NFL in that span.
San Francisco 49ers — Record: 3-0 (Prev: 3 ↑)
Super Bowl odds: +900. Next: vs. Broncos (Sun, 4:25 p.m. ET)
The 49ers’ offense with Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey is humming, even if injuries and some defensive lapses are concerning. Kyle Shanahan has the depth to compensate, and this franchise’s start speaks to sustained excellence.
Stat to know: The 49ers have started 3-0 three times in the last four seasons.
Buffalo Bills — Record: 3-0 (Prev: 1)
Super Bowl odds: +670. Next: vs. Patriots (Sun, 1 p.m. ET)
Despite a sloppy game with turnovers and penalties, Josh Allen’s late-game clutch play keeps Buffalo elite. Their offense can outscore opponents, so until they’re truly shutdown, they remain one of the league’s best.
Stat to know: The Bills won despite a minus-four turnover margin — their first victory with such a margin since 1997.
Fan Take (two sentences): Early power rankings show that early records don’t always match underlying team strength — injuries, schedule toughness, and quarterback play matter more than raw W-L in September. For NFL fans, these trends hint at which teams could implode or surge, shaping trade chatter, fantasy decisions, and the narrative heading into the midseason stretch.
