Roman Reigns believes he is at the peak of his physical condition at the age of 41. In a recent interview with Men’s Health, promoting his role as Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter movie set to release on October 16, the World Heavyweight Champion was asked about how his body compares now in his 40s to when he was in his 30s.
Reigns shared, “I think I’m in my prime physically. When I look at my stomach or other areas, that’s part of the body dysmorphia many of us deal with.” He added, “It’s something where you just have to keep working on it. It’s not finished until it’s finished.”
He explained that on days when he feels less confident about his appearance, he focuses on the bigger picture. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Even if your goal is tomorrow, just extend it. Keep pushing forward. If I’m not looking perfect on Sunday, I’ll keep striving to improve,” Reigns said.
He also pointed out the importance of maintaining discipline with his diet, especially since he tends to gain weight easily. “When I’m locked in and focused, that’s everything. But if I fall off, it shows,” he noted.
Reigns is scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans and is also advertised to appear at Crown Jewel on November 7.
Fan Take: Roman Reigns’ dedication to maintaining peak physical form at 41 is inspiring for fighting fans, showing that age doesn’t have to be a barrier to excellence. His role in the Street Fighter film and upcoming title defenses reflect how athletes are expanding their influence, potentially bringing greater attention and respect to combat sports worldwide.
