The Chicago Sky secured their first win of the 2025 WNBA season with a victory over the Dallas Wings on Thursday night. Before the game, the Sky held a 1-4 record and were last in the Eastern Conference, while the Wings were 1-5, anchoring the Western Conference standings.

Although young talents Angel Reese of the Sky and Page Bueckers of the Wings attracted much attention before the game, it was Kamilla Cardoso and Arike Ogunbowale who truly stood out. Cardoso delivered a career-best 23 points for Chicago, while Ogunbowale led Dallas with 37 points despite their loss.

Reese contributed evenly across the board with six points, nine rebounds, and five assists in the win. Bueckers added 15 points, eight assists, and five rebounds for Dallas. Following the game, Chicago’s new head coach Tyler Marsh praised Dallas’s skilled backcourt, singling out Booker, Ogunbowale, and Dijonai Carlington for their talents.

The two teams will face each other again on Saturday at Dallas’s College Park Center, with Chicago aiming to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Meanwhile, Dallas hopes to climb out of the Western Conference’s basement before the Commissioner’s Cup in June.
