Ryan Vickers secured three podium finishes at the Donington BSB, the second-to-last round of the 2026 season, maintaining the impressive form he has shown since mid-season. Although Vickers only reached his first podium in round six, he has consistently placed in the top three in every race since Thruxton, except for the three races at Assen and the first race at Cadwell, where he crashed out.
In fact, the last time Vickers dropped out of the top six was during Race 3 at Donington in round two. Returning there for the penultimate round, the Honda rider demonstrated much stronger performance, finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd over the three races of the weekend.
“I pushed hard all weekend and probably set my best lap here ever,” said Vickers. “The pace was really intense, and the riders ahead did an outstanding job. I’m glad to keep this momentum going at the front and want to thank my team for their excellent work. Overall, I’m very pleased with my weekend results: one second place and two third places. We’ll continue working on closing the gap towards our championship goals, and I’m excited to race at Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks.”
Meanwhile, Jason O’Halloran faced challenges with grip at Donington after showing strong top-10 form in recent rounds, a marked improvement from earlier in the season. Unlike previous events, he had to start from Q1 and failed to finish in the top 10 in either of the longer races.
“I’ve always enjoyed racing at Donington Park and hoped to improve my pace from earlier this year,” O’Halloran remarked. “I was pleased to top qualifying session one, but I encountered front tire issues in the first race, which affected both my pace and final position. My main battle throughout the round was with grip, something the team and I worked hard to address. I did manage to improve my best lap time by 0.7 seconds. With a short break before the final round, we’re ready to give our all in the weeks ahead.”
