Misfits Boxing is back with its newest lineup of crossover fights and unique combat sports matches this Saturday, October 10, at the Copper Box Arena in London, England. British reality TV personality Joey Essex will return to the ring to take on comedian Dapper Laughs in the headline bout, while renowned MMA coach Plinio Cruz meets Gary Olive in the co-main event. Essex (1-0) debuted in the boxing scene under the Misfits brand in August 2025, winning by majority decision against Portuguese influencer Numeiro. Similarly, Dapper Laughs, real name Daniel O’Reilly, also made his debut with Misfits in 2023, securing a stoppage victory over social media star Simple Simon.
Originally, Chase DeMoor, the Misfits heavyweight champion, was set to face Cruz but pulled out due to injury on Monday. As a result, DeMoor’s coach, Gary Olive, jumped in on short notice to fight Cruz, who is famously known as the longtime coach of former UFC two-division champion Alex Pereira.
