Jude Bellingham described Harry Kane as the greatest player in England’s history after another impressive performance by the striker.
Kane recently reached his 125th cap for England, tying Peter Shilton for the record of most appearances for the national team.
The England captain celebrated the milestone by scoring twice and assisting in the opening goal during a 3-0 Nations League victory against Czechia.
Kane now has 91 goals for his country and has become the oldest player in England’s history to score two goals in consecutive matches.
This year, he has scored 13 international goals, the highest for an England player in a calendar year since he netted 16 in 2021.
Bellingham asserts that Kane is undoubtedly the best player to have ever represented England.
He stated to ITV Sport: “There’s little left to say that hasn’t already been said. From my viewpoint, he’s an incredible person, both as a captain and as a man. He’s the finest player to ever don the England jersey, and it’s a privilege to share the pitch with him. His performance is unparalleled. He scores effortlessly, contributes defensively, and continues to improve.”

Bellingham earned his 36th cap while at Real Madrid, matching David Beckham for the most caps by any England player in history.
Only Kane at Bayern Munich (41) and Owen Hargreaves at Bayern (39) have earned more caps while playing for clubs outside of England.
This year, England has scored 39 goals in 16 matches—only in 2021 did they achieve a higher total in a calendar year (52).
Currently, they sit in second place in Nations League Group A3, trailing Spain, but are just a single point away from securing a spot in the quarter-finals.
Bellingham remarked on England’s performance, “It was what we required. I know it can be tough when teams come here and play defensively to frustrate us. After our 7-0 win against Croatia, we were eager for more, but we accomplished what we needed.”
Thomas Tuchel commented on Kane, saying, “That’s just who he is. I don’t take it for granted; it’s consistently exceptional every match.”
Fan Take: This news highlights a pivotal moment in soccer, showcasing not just Kane’s individual brilliance but also England’s ascent as a dominant force. For fans, this could signify a golden era for the national team, potentially translating to greater success on the world stage.
