The start of the NFL season has been marred by a wave of high-profile injuries, and Week 4 only continued that trend. Several marquee offensive players — including Lamar Jackson, Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, Tee Higgins and Rashee Rice — exited games early this week. Quarterbacks have been particularly impacted: Jaxson Dart is out for the season, and Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Kyler Murray have all missed time with injuries. With a long 17-game, 18-week slate, availability will be a major factor moving forward.
The Chiefs and Panthers have the Week 5 bye, giving them a week to recuperate, and the Rams, scheduled for Monday Night Football against the Bills, were not practicing Wednesday. Below are the initial Wednesday injury notes for the other 28 teams playing Thursday and Sunday. (Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.)

Fan Take:
This stretch of major injuries is a stark reminder that depth and roster durability matter as much as talent in today’s NFL — teams that can plug holes quickly will have a huge advantage. Fans should expect more lineup shakeups and strategic adjustments over the coming weeks, and the long-term health of several star players could shape playoff pictures and offseason decisions.
