Liverpool is working on signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Whartz during the summer window, and they knocked back two offers for him.
According to a report by German Publications Kicker, Liverpool has rejected two offers to German International and is currently planning a third improved offer to sign players. The report (H/T Mirror) claims that Harvey Elliott or Jarrel Quansah can be used as part of his offer to sweeten the Bundesliga costume deal.
Apparently, the German club praises both players and it is still unclear whether they are ready to accept either player as part of the deal.
The player has already turned down the opportunity to join Bayern Munich to move to Liverpool.
Liverpool told the asking price
Wirtz is reportedly valued at £126 million, and Liverpool must pay if they want to secure a signature. The 22-year-old has been an exception for Bayer Leverkusen over the past few seasons, and he was named the best player in the Bundesliga in his last two campaigns.
If they can get the deal done, there’s no doubt that he’ll become a world-class acquisition of Liverpool. The player has contributed 31 goals this past season, and his vision, technical ability and creativity allowed him to transform Liverpool on offense.

The Germans can operate not only a wide range of players but also in the center. He adds goals and creativity to the aspects. Liverpool is overly dependent on Mohamed Sarah and Luis Diaz in the final third and need more support in the offense.
They have to pay Wirtz a premium, but he has the ability to justify his investment in the long term. He has all the tools to develop into a top-class player with the right guidance.
