In life, only death and taxes are considered inevitable. However, Eric Bischoff believes that his fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair might be an exception to one of these certainties.
During an episode of “83 Weeks,” Bischoff and co-host Conrad Thompson discussed Flair’s incredible toughness in the face of numerous health challenges, including a recent incident where Flair suffered a severe eye injury from a fall.
Bischoff remarked, “I think there will be two people still on earth after the rest of us are gone: Vince McMahon and Ric Flair. I don’t know why, but Ric seems indestructible — like a cockroach. While humanity may disappear, Ric will remain. I think Vince will too. There’s something about those two guys.”
On October 23, Flair took a sudden fall outside a restaurant in Tampa, causing cuts to his head and eye that required emergency surgery. Thompson, also Flair’s son-in-law, revealed that the wrestling legend endured significant soft tissue damage but was able to return home by the next morning.
Thompson explained that the fall was partly due to a blood clot in Flair’s leg, which has affected his mobility. Earlier that day, the 77-year-old Flair mentioned that the clot had already restricted his ability to travel, leading him to cancel an appearance at Washington State Horror Con.
Bischoff expressed relief over Flair’s condition, saying, “I just saw a photo of him on Instagram that I hope isn’t accurate — it showed him back at the bar he left when he fell. Hopefully, he’s feeling well enough to be up and about, enjoying life in true Ric Flair fashion.”
