British boxer Caroline Dubois is set to face American Stephanie Han in a lightweight unification clash on February 20 in the United States. At just 25 years old, Dubois, who currently holds the WBC and WBO titles, will travel to the Gecu Arena in the Don Haskins Center, El Paso, Texas, to challenge Han, the WBA champion.
Hailing from London, Dubois remains unbeaten in her professional career with 14 wins and one draw. She unified her belts in April 2026 after a decision victory over Terri Harper. Han, 36, is also undefeated with 13 wins and has successfully defended her WBA title three times, notably with two wins against former UFC champion Holly Holm in 2026.
Dubois expressed her excitement about challenging Han on her home ground, stating, “I can’t wait to get back in the ring and take another world title. I respect Stephanie’s achievements, but I’m coming to El Paso to claim her belt. These are the fights I’ve worked toward my entire career — I want all the belts, the biggest fights, and to prove myself against the best.”
In the highly competitive lightweight division, the final belt, the IBF title, will be contested this Sunday as undefeated Elif Nur Turhan from Turkey meets American Alycia Baumgardner, also in Texas. Both Dubois and Baumgardner have openly expressed interest in facing each other, and if they win their upcoming matches, a unification bout for the undisputed championship could take place in 2027. Since both boxers are signed with Most Valuable Promotions, this showdown seems very likely.
Dubois aspires to become only the fifth British fighter to achieve undisputed status in the current four-belt era, joining the ranks of Josh Taylor, Chantelle Cameron, Savannah Marshall, and Ellie Scotney. Baumgardner, who is seven years older than Dubois and considered one of the top pound-for-pound fighters, moved up from super-featherweight for this division. Dubois did not hold back in her post-fight interview following her August win over Amelia Moore, openly challenging Baumgardner.
Dubois also confirmed via social media that she will be ringside for the Turhan vs. Baumgardner fight, keeping a close eye on potential future opponents.
Fan Take:
This upcoming unification bout is a huge moment for lightweight boxing fans, as it could set the stage for one of the most exciting undisputed title fights in recent years. With rising stars like Dubois making waves internationally, the sport is poised for thrilling matchups that could elevate women’s boxing to new heights.
