Newcastle United have contacted with a French teenage talent agent, according to a new report.

Newcastle is trying to address defensive issues ahead of the new season

After a season from European football, Magpies look forward to knowing that the 2025/26 campaign is back in the Champions League. Enhancement in the area ahead seems to be a top priority for Eddie Howe and co. This summer, however, dealing with their defenses is also on their list of jobs.

There was a new development.

Jamal Russell finished his contract later this month, with all remaining defensive options in his 30s, except for Sven Bottman, who was apparently injured.

Fabianshire and Dunburn are both 33 years old and considering Magpies are currently dealing with Champions League football, Howe wants fresher feet as the game will be thicker and faster next season.

Newcastle has already linked with one defender last week as he joined Aston Villa in the race to sign Marseille Amir Murillo. Magpies hope for the fact that they are in Europe’s biggest competition and that the villa will help them sign Murillo, who is said to be valued at around £21 million. Meanwhile, it was reported last month that Newcastle had contacted AC Milan about a move to sign centre-back Malick’s thawing.

Through sports witnesses, Newcastle met with Rennai defender Abdelhamid Eight Rowdral on his move to St. James Park, according to Moroccan outlet LE360 Sports.

The report says Magpies and Liverpool are interested in signing the 19-year-old defender this summer. Despite the fact that Aït Boudlal has not yet played a senior game for Stade Rennais and has not played just nine times with the Amiens during the final six months of the season.

The centre-back, who can also play left back, has already met Newcastle, but he has made an offer to the table, not from the magpie. Liverpool is said to have made a specific offer to sign Aït Boudlal, but it is unclear how much the offer is. The 19-year-old’s options are also unstoppable in the UK. Because OGC is also paying attention to his situation, both Nice and Laliga.

It is unclear how penetrating Rennais wants to have in the defenders, but according to Transher Markt, Aït Boudlal is rated at around £420,000. Newcastle may not see Ait Boudraal as a player who will soon become a regular on the team, but he is a person who can learn at the Fringe and hopes to become the top defender in the coming years as Howe’s current options diminish.
