The film produced by Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum, along with an accompanying docuseries about the Isle of Man TT, has been showcased by Amazon MGM Studios. Last year, it was revealed that Hollywood stars Pitt and Tatum are teaming up with several producers to create new feature films and docuseries centered on the Isle of Man TT.
The feature film is produced by Guymon Casady and Jason Keller from Tatum’s Free Association, Pitt’s Plan B, and Entertainment 360, with Reid Carolin directing. The docuseries is being developed by Box to Box Films, the studio behind Netflix’s popular series Drive to Survive.
The series will include four 45-minute episodes filmed on the Isle of Man in 2024. Amazon MGM Studios has now acquired the project. Paul Phillips, Head of Motorsports at Enterprise Island, emphasized the global platform this provides for TT, marking a significant step in their digital broadcasting strategy and highlighting the sport’s unique appeal.
Brad Pitt previously ventured into motorcycle racing filmmaking with the 2015 MotoGP documentary “Hit the Apex.” He is also currently working on a new F1 movie set for release this summer. The Isle of Man TT has gained wider mainstream recognition in the past decade, notably with the cinema release of the documentary “Close to the Edge.” The event expanded its digital broadcast reach post-pandemic, offering full live coverage in 2022 for the first time.
This year’s TT will conclude on Saturday, with four races scheduled for the final two days. Michael Dunlop achieved a record-breaking 32nd win after his victories in both the Supersport Race and the Opening Superbike Battle this week.
