The NFL’s team-organized OTAs (Organized Team Activities) are underway from May to June, serving as the first gathering of all 32 teams for the 2025 season preparations. This marks the first opportunity for many veterans and rookies to be seen since last season ended. Highlights from the initial week of OTAs include Chedur Sanders impressing with strong quarterback stats despite the non-contact setting, and Colts’ Anthony Richardson sidelined indefinitely due to a shoulder injury, with Daniel Jones stepping up for first-team reps.

The Giants had to cut their sixth OTA session short following multiple on-field fights, while Tennessee’s top draft pick, Come Ward, showed promising chemistry with new addition Xavier Restrepo. Other notable OTA moments include Michael Pittman Jr. leaving practice early due to injury, and Chiefs receiver Lacy Rice fully participating post-knee surgery. Meanwhile, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold received strong support from coach Mike McDonald despite a shaky OTA start.

Dynamic rookie Travis Hunter showcased his unique all-around skills with a remarkable one-handed interception for the Jaguars. Texans’ QB CJ Stroud sat out OTA due to shoulder pain, but the team remains optimistic about his recovery. Injuries are also impacting Eagles rookie Jihaad Campbell, who is not expected back until training camp. Calvin Ridley praised Ward’s focused mentality, while Cowboys’ George Pickens looks comfortable in OTAs, appearing as a key target for Dak Prescott.

Baltimore Ravens’ Rashod Bateman is healthy and poised for a big year, with offensive coordinator Todd Monken emphasizing his versatile role. The OTAs provide early insight into team dynamics, player progress, and injury updates as the league gears up for another exciting NFL season.
