Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Halliburton said the Pacers need to “become greedy” after a stunning Game 1 victory

The Indiana Pacers are magically running in the NBA Finals in 2025. No one chose the Pacers to win the Eastern Conference. Cleveland and Boston were heavy favorites.

On Thursday evening, the Pacers were on the road for Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Indiana fought the entire game and erased a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit. Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-winning jump shot, bringing the clock to just 0.3 seconds. Thunder stumbled at home in a 111-110 defeat to Indiana. After the match, Pascal Siakam and Ty Halliburton said the Pacers need to “become greedy.”

Will Pacer have a chance to win the NBA Finals?

In Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals, the Thunder led for 47 minutes and 59 seconds. Indiana only had a 0.3 seconds lead, but that was enough to win the Pacers’ game. Oklahoma City fans were shocked after Tylese Halliburton won another game in the 2025 playoffs. Plus, it was the fourth time Pacer has lost a 15-point lead in 17 postseason games.

After an unlikely comeback victory, Tyreese Halliburton and Pascal Siakam were recorded back in the locker room. Halliburton turned to Siakam and said, “Let’s be greedy, man.” Siakam replied, “We didn’t play well either.” The Pacers know the size of getting Game 1 and starting the series. They went perfectly 4-0 in Game 1 during the 2025 playoffs.

Indiana snatched the victory Thursday night. Pascal Siakam’s 19 points led the team. However, six players doubled on scoring. Pacers’ balanced attacks were enough to beat OKC in Game 1. Losing at home in Game 1 is a wake-up call from Thunder. I hope OKC wins Game 2 as I have a heavy favorite that appears in the final. The team won after winning Thursday night before Pacer steals Game 1.
