Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 17 points and Natasha Howard contributed 13 as the Fever dominated the Chicago Sky 79-52 on Saturday night. Indiana, now 4-4, snapped a three-game losing streak with a recent 85-76 win over Washington and has gone 2-2 without star player Kate Rinklerk, who is sidelined due to injury.

Angel Reese grabbed 12 rebounds and scored four points for the Sky, who struggled offensively, shooting just 20 percent from beyond the arc. Kamilla Cardoso and Rebecca Allen each added eight points, while Aari McDonald hit three three-pointers, finishing with 12 points and three steals. Aliya Boston posted 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists for Chicago.

Indiana jumped out to an early lead with a 10-1 run, led by Mitchell and McDonald, maintaining a double-digit advantage through halftime and the rest of the game. The Fever shot an efficient 46% from the field, including 11 three-pointers, and distributed 20 assists. Chicago, meanwhile, managed only 32.1% shooting overall and committed 19 turnovers.

Fever head coach Stephanie White missed the game for personal reasons, with Austin Kelly stepping in as acting coach. Chicago’s Courtney Vanderroot left the game early due to a knee injury and did not return. The Sky will travel to New York on Tuesday, while Indiana heads to Atlanta.

Fan Take: This decisive victory shows Indiana’s resilience despite key injuries, signaling a growing depth and strength that WNBA fans should watch closely. With the Fever’s sharpshooting and teamwork on display, this game underscores the competitive balance shaping the league’s exciting future.
