Friday night’s game at the United Center saw the Chicago Sky face off against the Indiana Fever in their second encounter of the season. The Fever made a strong impression by defeating the Sky once again, improving to 2-0 in the season series.

Meanwhile, another exciting matchup took place between the Seattle Storm and Phoenix Mercury, following a key showdown involving the Fever and Sky. In the Storm vs. Mercury game, history was made as former WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike reached a significant career achievement.

The league shared on social media that Ogwumike climbed to eighth place on the WNBA’s all-time steals list with a total of 628. This milestone further cements Ogwumike’s legacy as she continues to make history. The Seattle Storm, aiming for a playoff spot, currently hold a 4-4 record but have yet to solidify themselves as top contenders for this year’s championship. If Ogwumike can maintain her high level of play, the Storm could become a serious threat.
