French open revelation, Lois Boisson rocked the WTA rankings to 296 locations after a fairy tale run at Roland Garros.

The French woman, who was 361st in the semifinals at the Clay Court Grand Slam last week, came in 65th in the latest edition of the rankings released on Monday.

Coco Gauff defeated Boisson in the semi-finals on her way to her first French open title. There was no change at the top of the rankings. Aryna Sabalenka led the pack ahead of Gauff and her fellow American Jessica Pegula.

Saralenka lost to Gouf in the Roland Garros final.

Paris’ wildcard entry Boisson reached third seed Pegra in the second quarter, beating sixth place Mira Andriva, finishing the unexpected run by Gouf.

Carlos Alcaraz held the title on Sunday in the longest final at Roland Garros against top-ranked Janik Thinner before his Italian rivals, finishing second in the male ATP rankings.

Despite the loss, the sinner increased the lead to 2,030 points as Alcaraz, as defending champion, failed to add any points. Thinner scored 500 points by reaching the final as he lost in the semi-finals last year.

Third ranked Alexander Zverev dropped 900 points after losing to Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals. Djokovic rose to fifth place behind fourth-placed Jack Draper.
