Tottenham Hotspur is increasingly looking to hire Thomas Frank as their new head coach, according to sources from ESPN.

The club is expected to engage in further talks with Brentford regarding the compensation package for the 51-year-old, who would be relocating within London and may bring some of his coaching staff with him.

One insider informed ESPN that Frank’s contract with Brentford includes a release clause that could exceed £10 million ($13.5 million).

The discussions will revolve around whether the financial terms can be fully met or if a compromise is possible, but there is growing hope that Frank will soon take over from Postecoglou.

Postecoglou was dismissed just 16 days after successfully leading Spurs to victory in the Europa League, ending a 17-year drought for silverware with a 1–0 win over Manchester United in Bilbao.

The club also experienced a tumultuous Premier League season, suffering a record 22 losses among teams that were not relegated and finishing in 17th place.

ESPN previously mentioned that Frank, along with Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, were contenders for the position, and the club has opted to pursue Frank following internal discussions.

Fan Take: This potential hiring could be a significant turning point for Tottenham, who are in dire need of fresh leadership after a disappointing season. Bringing in a coach like Thomas Frank could galvanize the squad and reignite hopes for a successful campaign, which is crucial for fans yearning for glory.
