The 2024-25 season was a climax for the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic suffered from tension in the left calf in late December, missing out on a straight game of 19.

At the trade deadline, general manager Nico Harrison surprised the NBA landscape by sending Luka Doncic to the Lakers. Fans were furious at Harrison’s rushing decision. In addition to this, Mavs has made several players who missed extra time due to injuries in 2024-25. However, Dallas hit the jackpot and scored the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The only player the Mavericks are working on before the draft is Duke’s Cooper Flag.

Advances the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery, Duke’s Cooper Flag was the overall pick of Consensus #1. The spotlight was in FLAGG, where the 18-year-old began his professional career. Teams like the Jazz, Hornets and Wizards had a 14% chance of the first overall pick. With a 1.8% chance of winning the first pick, the Dallas Mavericks won the 2025 draft lottery. Allows you to choose a Cooper Flag in a few weeks.

ESPN’s Shams Charania and Jonathan Givony reported that before the draft, the only player Dallas will exercise was the Cooper Flag. Stick to take him on June 25th.
