World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and tennis legend Novak Jjokovic took on their respective contestants in the French open quarter final and were in the spotlight at Roland Garros on Wednesday.
Thinner, who has yet to drop a set at Roland Garros this year, appeared to continue to steam-drive his competition with Alexander Bubic. Later that day, decorated veteran Djokovic took on 28-year-old German Alexander Zverev for his spot in the semi-finals.

It took three funny sets for the sinner to overcome Bubic. Despite not being ranked, Bubik shocked many by participating in the final eight competitors of the tournament.

Thinner showed why he ranks number one in Roland Garros in his exhibition of domination and resilience over Babik. The 23-year-old got off to a good start and quickly established an early 4-0 lead. He takes the first set easily at 6-1.
The second set began with a 1-1 deadlock from two competitors. After scoring the first point of comfort, Bubic fought early on with a 2-1 lead. The 27-year-old Bubik led the second cat and mouse game, escaped every time the sinner tied up the score.

However, the momentum changed when the sinner broke the 5-5 tie when the set was dragged. It required some work, but the Italian took 7-5 sets. As the sinner cruised into the perfect 6-0 set, it seemed that Bubic was kicked out of the fight he posted in the second set.

The second match of the men’s singles competition featured a showdown between No. 3 Alexander Zverev and No. 6 Novak Djokovic. After dropping the first set and appearing to study his opponent, Djokovic chose Zverev and finished the match with four frames.
The 38-year-old caught up with Zverev, a 10-year-old junior. On the first matchup set, the German ace repeatedly tied the scores before pulling away to establish a 5-3 lead. Djokovic closed the gap once more, but Zverev scored the set 6-4.

Unshakable Djokovic showed his temper in the second set, which was impressive even in the match. The Serbian star chased all the sets to his younger competitors and proceeded to 3-1, 4-2 before closing the set. The third set was roughly the same, with 24-time Grand Slam champions edging Zverev 6-2.
Just like the opening set, the fourth was a show before and after Zverev tried to take a way out of the deficit. However, Djokovic turned the outcome over and sealed the victory over Zverev 6-4.
His victory set Djokovic in the semi-final match against the criminal on Friday. No. 2 seed Carlos Alcaraz and No. 8 seed Lorenzomsetti will compete on the other side of the bracket to face the winner in Sunday’s championship match.
