Although the 2025 US Open is still in its early stages, the 156-person field is already feeling the rage of the pristine and difficult Oakmont Country Club. One of the most notable head-hitting courses in the US allows only 10 players to finish at face value in the opening round, and with the second round starting on Friday, there could be a red number by the time the weekend approaches.

The western Pennsylvania grinder is holding its 10th record US Open, but many are playing it for the first time considering that there hasn’t been a tournament in the Pittsburgh suburbs in the past nine years. The evidence was fulfilled with abilities along with the fans, and they definitely wanted to see things like Scotty Schaeffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson de Decambeau Fair and more.

Early on, the answer to all three stars and all other well-known stars is “doing too well.” Schaeffler is fighting just to make the cut – that’s his first mistake in the majors since 2022 – McIlroy and Deccanbeau have yet to start their second round. Even John Rahm and Brooks Koepka, who were fighting on Thursday, were kicked out on the first nine Fridays and now have to fight to stay in the mix that enters the weekend. Follow the ongoing 2025 US Open LeaderBoard Live Updates and Coverage throughout Oakmont’s Round 2.
