Sports Lisbon striker Victor Gyoker reportedly declined a move to Manchester United, which hit the Red Devils’ hopes of reuniting manager Reuben Amorim with the Swedes.
According to Portuguese outlet records, the 27-year-old has no intention of joining United, instead supporting a potential relocation to Arsenal as summer windows get hot.
Gyoker enjoys success in Portugal and, personally and collectively, he quickly became one of Europe’s most popular strikers thanks to his prolific scorer record.
United had emerged as a strong candidate for his signature, especially Amorim, who was at the helm and believed he was eager to bring his former star to Old Trafford.
However, Gyoker reportedly revealed that he is not interested in switching to Manchester.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is currently considered the front runner for landing Swedish internationals. The gunners are in the market for top-level strikers.
Mikel Arteta’s side is said to have already put in an opening bid of £55 million.
The situation reportedly left Gyoker irritated. The player is believed to have an agreement with the gentleman’s sport, and at that price he can leave this summer. His disappointment stems from the obvious backtracking of the club in those terms.
Despite the set-off, Arsenal is preparing a second offer to reach a deal with the Swedish international attacker who scored 54 goals in all competitions last season.
Reuben Amorim has other striker targets in mind.
Sports is ready to request the full amount of Gyoker’s acquisition clause.
With tensions growing between players and clubs and interest from other European sides growing, the attacker is approaching to leave the Portuguese club, but it is still unclear what his transfer fees are.
United may have to shift their focus to signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, who is involved in consultations with the Premier League.
