Brighton striker Joao Pedro has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer, and Newcastle United are keen on him.

But they were hit by the players’ pursuit. According to his teammate Julio, the player prefers to stay in London, and therefore he will prioritize offers from the London Club this summer.

“Joño Pedro had already told Brighton some time ago that his desires had gone, he was going to look for something new and take the next step,” Giulio told Trivera. “It seems difficult and complicated for him to stay here.

“I go to the Liverpool team and I think he fits perfectly in Liverpool, because I always dream of playing for Liverpool and I go there.

It will be interesting to see if the club will be happy to come and sign him. The 23-year-old has been very good in the Premier League last season and he will be a great acquisition for most teams.

Newcastle needs more depth to its attacking units. They are overly dependent on Alexander Isaac. Swedish international is outstanding for them, but they need more support in the attack.

The Brazilians would have been the ideal acquisition for them. It is still unclear how things will develop over the next few weeks. Newcastle has finances to submit proposals that are favorable to players. They could also offer him premium wages. It remains to be seen whether players can be persuaded to join the club.

The opportunity to play in Newcastle and the Champions League can seduce players. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs are able to make a deal.

Strikers, on the other hand, can cost a considerable amount. Brighton is reportedly asking players to be as high as £50 million.

The striker scored just 10 goals last season. While he is an incredible talent and there is no doubt that he can improve even further, the reported asking price is very expensive and he cannot pay such a money to someone who has yet to prove it.
