“I certainly have him” – Arsenal backed down to sign a struggling Man City star

Arsenal wants to sign a new left winger this summer, and they have linked to many top European players. However, they could also consider similar movements to those made for Raheem Sterling in 2024.

Things like Rodrygo Goes, Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens have appeared on Arsenal’s radar, but it is not guaranteed that any of them will be able to sign, especially with interest from other clubs. But in the case of Jack Grelish, if they make their move, there’s a good chance that a deal will be made.

Grealish almost certainly leaves Man City after falling down the Pecking Order. He has attracted interest from many other Premier League clubs, but Arsenal could also be an option.

This is the opinion of former Premier League footballer and Arsenal fan Darren Bent.

“I certainly take him to Arsenal, but not in place of Martinelli. What you should remember about Martinelli is that he blows a hot, cold blow. Jack gets the chance to play.

Grealish probably isn’t a popular signature among Arsenal supporters, but if he can regain the form he showed during his first or two seasons at Man City, he will be added to the top of the Mikel Arteta team, especially if he arrives on a low-cost loan.

But in the face of that, Grealish may not be the option club officials considered in the summer, as it is not the important upgrade Arsenal needs for the left.
