        • Slot’s unique mane: Liverpool enters the race to sign “incredible” £51 million stars

The rivals thought that Liverpool would fall off the cliff when Jurgen Klopp packed up and left, but Arne Slot came and chased their own dreams from where they came.

Just 11 months after Klopp sang the slot’s name, there was the Carabao Cup Trophy in his bag (aside from the qualifying round that returned to the Champions League after the misery of 2022/23), but Anfield’s new Dutch boss returned the song, winning the Premier League, beating all expectations.

Slot joined the exclusive club of managers who won English Top Flight in his first year, and now he is commissioned to work with sports director Richard Hughes to make major changes to the transfer market.

Slot chases the suspicious people, with Jeremy Fripon and Florian Wiltz joining from Bayer Leberkusen, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez coming soon, and a new centre forward soon being targeted.

Of course, there are also some outgoings happening as the legendary Andy Robertson is debated for departures in the coming months.

Liverpool’s left-back situation

Robertson, 31, is entering the final year of his £160,000 contract, and sadly looked a weak link under the wing of the slot. It’s understandable: he encounters the ground through years of fatigueless service.

The turn of Atletico Madrid may have been reluctantly stubbornly for FSG to let go, as the deal agreed to sign Kerkez is going to drive Robertson to the back bench.

Kerquez may be young, but there’s no doubt he’s already attaining some advantage over the Liverpool veteran.

But if Robertson left, could Liverpool sell himself short? After all, his backup, Costas Timicus, is on Leeds United’s radar. Liverpool may need another star to the left of the backline, and the target chosen may be just the most exciting of the lot.

Liverpool consider another left back

According to TeamTalk, Ajax defender Jorrel Hato is interested in moving to Liverpool despite efforts from Arsenal, who is currently effectively leading the race.

The 19-year-old pigeon is a revelation in his hometown, priced at 50 million euros (£43 million).

Further reports say Chelsea is also in the frame, with Liverpool and the Blues claiming that the race is being notified at this stage by the player’s camp.

What Jorell Hat brings to Liverpool

Liverpool is well-bred with 21-year-old Kerquez, right? So why does slot want another left-handed defender with pigeons? Well, the young Dutch provided that extra depth on the side, and during that time developed the qualities of a central defender.

Talent scout Jacek Kulig actually praised Hato as “one of Europe’s most talented centre-backs” a few years ago, in his formation stages. But nonetheless, the Dutch star has played the past year of his professional career, mainly as a left-back, due to his gas tank, tenacious attitude and dynamism.

According to FBREF, he was ranked last season in the top 9% of European fullbacks, top 14% of tackles and interceptions and top 15% of ball recovery per 90 due to pass completion.

Ball recovery is defined by the number of loose balls recovered by the player.

It helps to shed some impressive statistics and the skill set that we saw the natural mid-half perform in such diplomacy in a wide verse.

Data from the Transfer Market

Both pigeons and kerques are defensive star rises with huge potential, and choosing which is “better” under the wings of the slot effectively splits the hair, but we are hair splitters here and the prospect of having Ajax age is an absolute wonder.

We welcomed the “special” talent of scout Phil Costa. A very skilled and versatile pigeon could potentially be one of the best in the world in multiple positions.

For this reason, he is described as an “exceptional athlete” by analyst Ben Matinson. Given the quality of the pigeons across two positions rather than one that Liverpool needs to strengthen, it can be argued that he is a more exciting man than Kerquez.

Certainly, Jamie Carrager called it an “absolute legend” in January, but the “hanging in every game” defender has more thrills involved in the teenager than Robertson.

In the 11th hour, if Liverpool’s bid to sign Kerkes falls, the pigeons will prove an excellent alternative. But if everything goes to the plan and Hughes secures another excellent signature for the title-winning red, adding the pigeons to the mix and certainly the set is complete.
