Thomas Frank’s appointment at Tottenham Hotspur begins a new era at the football club and seeks to build on the advancements of Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian won the Europa League in his final match in charge, securing his position in the Champions League, and handed the supporters a memorable night at the end of the gloomy season.
Such a decision to plunder him may have looked tough, but now he is handing over the opportunity to make a new history for the former London club to the former Brentford boss.
With the summer transfer window open again to make new additions, the hierarchy has already wasteful time targeting the move to pass him on with the tools he wants.
Many areas of the pitch need investment to provide quality and depth in key areas, especially when competitive in the Premier League and Europe.
New new additions of Spurs’ latest hunts this summer
After Frank arrives, winger Brian Mbemo is primarily promoted in a move to chase his former manager across the capital to join this window.
But if they land a 25-year-old signature, they will have to deflect their interest from Manchester United.
Another name has entered the attack division, with Arnaud Kalimuendo of Rennes Star firmly in the attack division on the radar, according to French outlet L’Equipe.
The Lily Whiteman claims he is in discussion with League One outfit on the 23-year-old’s contract, which scored 18 times in all competitions in 2024/25.
He also said that although he is valued at the 25 million euro (£223.3 million), he faces competition for his signature, and that the Spanish and German sides also want a 23-year-old move this summer.
Why the Spurs’ latest target could be Frank’s next Wissa
As mentioned earlier, Mbemo was a key part of Frank’s success at Brentford, but striker Joane Wissa also thrived under his guidance, reaching levels not seen in his previous career.
Dr. Congo Forward made 35 appearances in the league last time, registering a total of 19 goals and four assists, creating an outstanding partnership with the Cameroonian.
Like his current teammate, he has linked the move to join this window, following his manager as he travels to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
But they are not alone in the hunt. Nottingham Forest appeared in the race again after rejecting an offer for him in January.
If Frank can’t land a reunion with Whissa, he should pursue Karim Endor’s move, and the French have to threaten all the tools in the Premier League.
Labeled by Talent Scout Jacek Kulig as “one of the most prolific” stars, Rennes Ace registers higher shot-on-target accuracy, supporting his claims about him.
He also completed many of the passes he attempted and registered a higher take-on success rate – giving Frank the all-around options he needs in North London.

Statistics through the Transfer Market |
Kalimuendo’s advantage doesn’t stop, registering more carrys to register in the final third, with more passes to the opposition area per 90 people giving the attacker a chance to flourish around him as well.
Wissa may seem like a solid choice given his time under the GTEC manager, but the French moves can allow the boss to land his next attacking star.
If he can transfer his skill set to England, it’s a great signature and could explode into elite level talent given his tender age.
