  • Liverpool is looking for a Nunes alternative
  • Can Darwin Nunes work well with Arsenal?

Liverpool attacker Darwin Nunes is widely expected to leave the club this summer

Manager Arne Slot is looking for a more deadly attacker to become part of the Premier League’s winning side.

The Uruguayan attacker struggled with his performance last season as he only scored seven goals for the Merseyside club.

Serie A Giants Napoli and AC Milan are keen to provide Nunes with a way out of Anfield this summer as speculation about the future increase in attackers during the summer transfer period.

Liverpool is looking for a Nunes alternative

The Reds are tied to a move that Victor Osimen will replace Nunes this summer.

Former Liverpool player and football expert Dean Sanders suggests that a move towards Premier League rival Arsenal could help Nunez get back in his form and revive his career.

The Gunners, who finished second in the Premier League title race To the Reds, are looking for a new attacker this summer.

Speaking about Talksport, Saunders said:

“If the club were linked to Nunes, will there be any fans who would be disappointed? I agree he doesn’t have enough goals for Liverpool, but I think we all look at him with the same eyes.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he went to Arsenal and scored 25 goals, or (other) anywhere.

“At least he’s played in the Premier League for three years, and he takes off his socks because you know what you’re trying to get.

Nunes has a mixed spell in Liverpool, but the glorious glow is hidden by the contradictory and missed opportunities.

A manager with a different style of scenery and a different style may help him rebuild his confidence and efficiency.
However, Arsenal’s systems require technically sharp strikers who link plays and press smartly.

Nunes’ decisions and first touches have often been criticized. This is a problem that may limit his role in Arteta’s structure.

The attacker is better suited to clubs like Atletico Madrid, who showed interest in signing him this summer.
