Bayern Munich may be looking to take part in the broad Rafael Leo race at AC Milan linked to Arsenal.
Portugal International, who can play as a left flank and central striker, looks like someone worth seeing in the market this summer.
Reporting in a recent column for CF Bayern Insider, Christian Falk said he spoke with Lothar Matthaus about Bayern’s plans.
I was interested in Nico Williams, but Matt South seems to prefer Leao.
This could be a worrying development for gunners as Leao has recently been linked to Arsenal by Soccer Insider.
Rafael Leao’s transfer looks like something to see
Writing in today’s column, Fork said: “I spoke to Rossard Mataus about Nico Williams. He thinks Barça’s target is good, but FC Bayern’s favorite is Rafael Leo.
“Massaus believes there is even more potential than the Portuguese star has been allowed to show at AC Milan before.
“Leao has another great advantage. He can play on the wings, but also at the centre of the forward line. So he can become a backup option for Harry Kane.”
The 26-year-old, who finished with 12 goals and nine assists in all competitions last season, certainly looks like he’ll bolster Bayern or Arsenal.
Will Leo can move as Williams is not available?
If Williams actually ends up moving to Barcelona, it could cause something of a domino effect to the Wingers market.
It could lead Bayern and Arsenal to pursue Leao instead.
Milan also needs to replace the Leao, and Jadon Sancho could be one option for them. Catch off side It was reported earlier today.
