Naomi osaka was on a tough road with the 2025 French Open. She was performing better than expected Monday, but Osaka was eliminated in the first round after losing to 10th Paula Badosa.

Despite being a weaker person, Osaka has made a strong start. She took Badosa to her seventh game and actually won the first set of 7-6. Osaka, who appeared in her all-pink outfit, was able to take a picture of her first set despite her nail chipping. She found a nail cutting into the sidelines between the sets.

Badosa rallied in the second set, but easily won 6-1.

That sets the third set. While Osaka hangs there early, Badosa grows stronger as the match progresses. She eventually picked up a victory, won a 6-4 set and played the match.

Osaka participated in the event as the number 49 female player. She struggles with the French Open compared to other Grand Slams. Osaka has reached three times in the event, but has never made it any further.

Osaka attended the event after the tough 2024 2024. She went down to a better start to the 2025 opening and reached the third round at the Australian Open. It was her best finish at the event since 2022.
