To put it simply, it was a turbulent few months for the Tottenham Hotspur.

For example, Ange Postecoglou led the club to its first trophy for the first time in 17 years, but was replaced by Thomas Frank a few weeks later.

The former Brentford manager has cut his job to try and get the club back to the top of the Premier League next season, but Daniel Levy and Co can help him by bringing some key talent this summer.

Luckily, it seems like a plan. This is because the report now links with the forward who won a comparison with sensational Alexander Isaac.

The Spurs’ defense has been a major issue this season, but their offense is not exactly fluid either, with six teams scoring in the Premier League.

So it wasn’t so surprising to see the club linking to many frontline talent in recent weeks, like Brian Mbemo and Bradley Barcola.

However, the former is increasingly likely to join Manchester United, and the latter appears to be worth at least £110 million, so Lily White may need to look elsewhere to attack the reinforcements.

Luckily, another name has entered the mix. Someone with Premier League experience, Diogojota.

Yes, according to a recent report from journalist Matt Thielen, Spurs is one of several aspects that interests the Liverpool star.

In fact, reporters claim that North Londoners have already been in contact with players about potential moves.

However, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and other teams abroad have also been in touch, with Liverpool giving players up to 55 million euros and around £47 million, according to reports from late April.

It could be a complicated and expensive transfer to get past the line, but given Jota’s abilities and experience, it’s worth fighting for, especially when he compares to Isaac.

How does Jota compare with Isak?

Now, before we see some of the other reasons the Spurs might want to go out and sign Jota this summer, we need to look at this comparison to ISAK and where it came from.

In this example, it comes from FBREF. FBREF examines players in similar positions in the Champions League and Europa League, the top five leagues in Europe, and then creates a list of players that are most comparable to each.

In this case, it was concluded that the Newcastle star is eighth similar to the Liverpool star over the past 35 days.

The best way to see how this works is to look at the underlying metrics that the pairs rank closely.

But while being compared to the most popular and exciting striker in football today, it certainly shows the quality of the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star, but that’s not the only reason Lily White should sign him.

In fact, the main reason why Levy and Co should be after him is his consistent production volume over the past few seasons.

For example, since the start of the 21/22 campaign, the 28-year-old “Monster,” dubbed by Liverpool blogger SI Steers, scored 52 goals and provided 25 assists in 152 appearances, providing a total of 8,512 minutes.

That is, the Porto-born dynamo averages goal involvement every 1.97 games or even more impressively every 110.54 minutes.

Ultimately, Jota should do everything he can to sign him this summer, not only is he statistically similar to one of the best strikers in the world, but also is someone who has a good output rate himself.
