Manchester United are interested in signing Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.
The 24-year-old Italian has done very well for Atalanta, and his performance has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs. They see him as a potential alternative to Andre Onana.
The Italians were linked to Arsenal a few months ago.
Man United need an upgrade
According to Gianluca di Marzio, the goalkeeper for Cameroon International is a target for Monaco, and Manchester United is currently considering replacing him. Onana has been so overwhelming for Manchester United since joining the club, and his error-prone performance has cost him valuable points. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can properly replace him.
Carnecchi is on track in Italy and he has the ability to succeed in British football as well. The opportunity to join Manchester United can be extremely exciting for players. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to secure an agreement with the Italian outfit.
Contacting Agent Marco Carnesecchi
The Premier League Giants have contacted the player’s agents regarding potential moves. However, they must submit favorable offers to convince the Italian club.
Manchester United had a disappointing season last year, and they finished in the lower half of the league table. They will look to bounce back strong next year as well, and they need to improve their teams. They need to bring in players to remove any performance degradation and help improve.
Italian goalkeepers certainly have the ability to improve them. He was young enough to improve further, and he was able to sort out the goalkeeping situation for Manchester United in the near future.
Manchester United have the resources to submit attractive offers to him, and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to close the move anytime soon. On the other hand, Onana needs a fresh start and if a transfer occurs he will try to get his Monaco career back on track.
