After agreeing to a deal to sign Benjamin Niglen, Celtic reportedly has now set their sights on the addition of their second summer attack in the form of a talented striker.

Celt agrees to a £1 million transfer for Nygren

He has been the main name in Celtic headlines over the past few weeks, and Boys has finally secured Nyglen’s signature. According to Fabrizio Romano, who gave the “Here we go” transfer, the Scottish Premiership champion has reached an agreement to sign Nordgerland winger for just 1.5 million euros (1 million pounds) on what could be converted to a four-year contract.

Celtic is only £1 million and welcomes the winger who scored 16 goals in all competitions in Denmark last season and created four more. He may take some time to settle to a new level, but he will not deny that those numbers are certainly positive signs.

After Kieran Tierney returns through the door, Nygren continues his impressive summer for Celtic.

Along with Nygren, the Bhoys also link to Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson. The Irishman desperately needs a fresh start after defeating the overture at Amex and then failed to mark on loan at West Ham United late last season.

Whether Celtic has decided to offer a new start is a big question. They have been responsible for reviving Premier League talent in the past, but they may still look to other options for the next few months.

Whether it’s Ferguson or someone else, the Scottish giants reportedly continue to focus on attacking receptions, aiming for J1 League options.

Celtic Currently targeting Shin Yamada for £1.5 million

As reported by the Scottish Sun, Celtic is about to sign penalty box striker Yamada from the front of Kawasaki this year. The 25-year-old forward, valued at £1.5 million, could be the latest Japanese export to follow in the footsteps of Deisen Mada and Yaogo Furhasi, and in the process he will make his way to Celtic Park.

Yamada’s numbers have fallen into the 2025 season so far, but scoring just six goals in 31 appearances, in his previous campaign, he showed exactly why Celtic was interested and scouted.

With 20 goals and five assists in the season, which was described as “impressive” by Hudl Wyscout, that’s at a level that Yamada is eager to return. And the Celts still managed to play a big role in that.

This may spell the end of Mike Nowrocky’s career in Hoop as Celtic is currently “talking” to sign a new “tactically intelligent” centreback.

Kyogo and Maeda thrived especially in Scotland, resulting in the former gaining a move towards France. And Yamada could now become the next impressive Japanese talent on his way to Celtic.
