The Rangers star Russell Martin is trying to keep at Ibrox is “ready to quit” the club this summer, according to a new report.
Martin expects a new ranger signing before Panatinaikos clashes
GERS won’t be long until the first competitive game of the 2025/26 season. There will be two-legged Champions League qualifiers for the Greek Panatinaikos, scheduled for the end of July.
So, Martin and 49ers Enterprises are considering trading in their first leg at Ibrox before July 22nd, with the new manager expecting some signings by then.
“I honestly don’t know, but I think it’s going to be a few times (inches) before the European game. That’s certainly true. Everyone is working very hard. A large part of the work of the past week or so is identifying the characters and talent we want in the buildings that we can add to this group and add from a cultural and performance perspective.
Midfielder Liall Cameron became the club’s first official signature after writing his pre-contract agreement in February, but right-back Max Aaron will lend him out from Bournemouth and move to the Rangers.
It could be on the way to more, but some starting items could also be linked to some departures. Things like Robin Propper and Cyriel Dessers are terrible links to leaving Ibrox.

Russell Martin and the Rangers will remain busy in the transfer market so can they sign Bolda Baricic’s “crazy talent” that could be repeated?
There have also been rumors of Nicholas Ruskin’s exit, but Martin wants to keep both Ruskin and Hamza Igamane and build a Rangers side around the pair.
Nonetheless, a new worrying forward update has appeared in Raskin’s Rangers Future.
Nicholas Ruskin said, “I’m ready to quit being a ranger.”
According to a report from Ibrox News, Raskin “is ready to quit and will soon be able to inform Rangers of their decision to leave” over the next few months.
“Belgian International is willing to leave Ibrox only if the top league side is to show a strong interest in his signature.”
The 24-year-old, known in the past as “incredible,” has been linked to Aston Villa and Leeds United, the latter being owned by the 49ers.

After joining the company in January 2023, Ruskin made a total of 95 appearances in the GERS.
Ibrox News adds that “movement is not guaranteed as things stand,” but it looks as if an exit could be realized between now and September 1st, if there is enough time before the transfer window closes.
