West Ham United are interested in signing Argentine attacker Nicolas Gonzalez of Italian club Juventus.
According to Calciomercato, Italian attire is ready to sell the 27-year-old this summer and will charge a fee of around 2,6-27 million euros. The reported asking price seems reasonable for players of his quality and experience. He was able to prove that if they could get the deal done it was a West Ham bargain.
Development will support the hammer.
Nicolas Gonzalez is a convenient option
He can work on either side, and he adds goals and creativity to the side. The hammer needs more quality in the last third and it remains to be seen if it can sign South America.
They have the resources to pay the asking price, and players can also attract the idea of moving to British football. He has linked his journey to Chelsea in the past. Newcastle United also contacted their agents a few years ago.
West Ham requires quality signatures
West Ham was a very disappointing last season. They will start to bounce back hard. Their height clubs should be fighting for the top half of the place next season. They need to do good players well next year. Gonzalez has the technical attributes that do well in the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground running in British football.
Premier League rival Brentford is also passionate about his players. It remains to be seen whether West Ham will win the competition and secure his signature.
The 27-year-old attacker scored five goals last season and scored four assists. Apart from his final product, he adds technical capabilities, creativity and unpredictability in the last third. West Ham needs to move forward at the cutting edge if they want to do well. They are overly dependent on Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen. The last third of the depth is ideal.
