Liverpool is reportedly in contact with Naples today about the potential relocation of Darwin Nunes towards the heart of Uruguay.
The Serie A Giants are keen to sign Nunes this summer, but even looking for a new sign-up front has been looking for Manchester United’s Rasmus Hoilund.
Fabrizio Romano currently reports that there is today’s direct contact between Liverpool and Napoli to discuss the Nunez deal, but it does not appear that it is expected that it will be easily pushed.
Romano said: “We will discuss the terms of the Darwinnes deal with understanding that Naples and Liverpool have direct contacts for today. The negotiations are still in their early stages, but Naples had a green light from Nunes as revealed in recent days.
Nunes was not at his best during his time at Liverpool, scoring just 40 goals in 143 appearances.
In contrast, the 26-year-old found the back of the net in just 85 games for his previous club Benfica.
What Alfredo Pedura said about Darwin Nunes and Naples
Alfredo Pedulla recently wrote about Nunez’s situation Catch off sidereports that Liverpool has set a asking price of 50 million euros for players.
An experienced Italian journalist revealed that Nunes is leaning towards staying in Europe despite the interest of the Saudi club as well.
But if Naples can come up with the kind of offer that will seduce him and can persuade the LFC to let him go, it would be interesting.
Can Liverpool sign a Nunes alternative?
Once Nunes left, Liverpool was able to find himself a little brighter ahead, even if he was a player he felt they couldn’t.
An upgrade is definitely needed, and Fabrizio Romano has previously spoken about his interest in Hugo Ekitike, the frontman of his YouTube channel, Anthracht Frankfurt, of Liverpool.
If the Merseyside giants score a good price for Nunez, it should help them buy someone like Ekitike.
