Manchester United is reportedly approaching an entire agreement with Brentford on the move of Cameroon International’s right winger Brian Mbeumo.

The Red Devils are approaching a £60 million deal for Mbeumo, who had a great season in the Premier League in 2024/25, finishing with 20 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

According to Talksport’s Alex Crook, the deal is now nearing completion and despite Mbeumo being strongly linked by the Daily Mirror as the top target for Tottenham, it appears ready for the move to Old Trafford.

For X’s Crook post, see below as it appears that Mbeumo is framed towards becoming the new guy UTD player…

Mbeumo was one of Europe’s outstanding offensive players last season, and it makes sense that he is taking this step up to a bigger club.

Can Brian Mbeumo help turn things around for Manchester United?

Even if United is struggling at the moment, it remains the name big enough that players like Mbeumo will always see them as a step up from Brentford.

The bees were great in their time in the Premier League, but they never become anything more than the mid-table side.

United aren’t the strength they once were, but getting the right players will help you get back to compete for at least the top four finish.

Mbeumo can play a big role as it looks like a clear upgrade of the right flank to an Antony-like flop.

This is another blow for Brentford after manager Thomas Frank left Tottenham this summer.

Meanwhile, according to TBR Sport, Spurs can turn to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze as an alternative to Mbeumo.

Mbeumo was advised to Man United…

Write exclusively for him Catch off side In a recent column, Stan Colliemore said that he can see Mbeumo being a “sensational” signature for people like Arsenal, as he urged him to choose a better option than Man United.

“Given his seasons up until now, he won the right to play European football in 2025-26. For the most part, going from Brentford to Mann United is a big step up, but it can be better with Mbemo,” Colliemore said.

“He links with Newcastle, but for me I think Aston Villa is a really good fit. He works for a manager who continues to make the most of him and he will play regularly in the Premier League and Europa League.

“Arsenal should also be everywhere he is, as he will be a sensational addition to their offense.”
