  • A difficult summer for Brentford

Brentford right winger Brian Mbeumo may be nearing his move to Manchester United, but not all is yet to be done.

As reported by Alex Crook yesterday, Man UTD is approaching a full agreement with Brentford, but there was another update today.

According to The Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have been under pressure to slightly increase their offers, which means they have some delay.

See below for Crooks’ post yesterday as these talks suggest that they are actively progressing.

Mirror ideally adds that United wants to do Mbeumo in time for the start of the preseason, so that’s the target for the time being.

What can Brian Mbeumo bring to Manchester United?

It seems like such offensive talent is needed at Old Trafford recently after poorly-formed players like Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.

Mbeumo offers a big target threat from Out Wide. This will remove pressure from strikers like Joshua Zirkzee who are scoring all the goals.

A difficult summer for Brentford

Brentford could face a very challenging summer as manager Thomas Frank has already left to take over at Tottenham, but Mbeumo could also leave.

Cameroon International is a very important player for the bees these days and will not be easy to replace him.

Still, if they get the money they want from MUFC, they’ll give them a fair amount of work in the transfer market, at least for the rest of the summer.
