Italian reports show that pursuing Manchester United’s Victor Osimchen will be even more complicated.
The Nigerian striker has long been praised by United. United sees it as an ideal addition to lead the offense under Reuben Amorim.
Osimhen’s pace and fatal finish make him one of Europe’s most coveted fronts, and he remains firmly on the club’s contender list as United is about to upgrade the front line
The Red Devils are looking for a new striker before next season. After seeing the struggle between Rasmus Hozilund and Joshua Zirksey at Old Trafford, the Man United Management team made a priority to sign a proven number nine.
Man United faces the hurdle when signing Victor Osimhen
However, according to Turkish outlet Fotomac, the striker’s price is expected to rise next month, so United’s hopes to sign Osimen can be quite challenging if they can’t act quickly.
The report states that Osimhen’s current release clause in his Naples contract is expected to expire on July 15th, and there will be no more set fees to cause the striker’s departure after this date.
Naples are free to request higher rates based on market conditions, and the interest Osimen is creating across Europe.
Officials at the Italian club reportedly have made it clear that they have no intention of negotiating a discount deal for Osimen before or after the clause expires.
Amorims need to act quickly in the market
The development puts pressure on United, which views Osimchen as the highest goal to solve the goal scoring problem.
Potential exits for players like Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford have been able to free up the funds for Red Devils to fund the transfer business, but if United doesn’t move crucially in the coming weeks, they will either have to miss Osimhen completely or pay a fee that has bulged into Nigeria’s international.
The striker reportedly dreams of traveling to Old Trafford this summer.
