    • Tiger Woods is called Messi, “the best soccer player I’ve ever seen.”
  • Messi: Michael Jordan is the greatest athlete ever
        • Kylian Mbappe named the NBA “the greatest ever.”

Lionel Messi has the conversation of the greatest sportsman or athlete of all time, but the Argentine legend has revealed who he thinks is a real “goat.”

Tiger Woods is called Messi, “the best soccer player I’ve ever seen.”

Messi secured his legacy as perhaps the greatest footballer in history when Argentina won the World Cup champion in 2022 and defeated France in penalties in the final.

Prior to that game, Tiger Woods insisted that Messi was ahead of the rest of Messi.

“He makes people miss with his left foot (and) it made many goalkeepers look bad.”

The Barcelona legend has won the most Barondoor Awards in history. It won 12 major top flight titles and four UEFA Champion Leagues, as well as an entire collection of other trophies, cups and individual awards.

Legendary manager Pep Guardiola has repeatedly said that Messi is “the greatest player of all time,” comparing it to other sports superstar figures, including Woods.

“It’s easy to say for me that he’s the best ever, but the stars came together in the right moment. A goat? Maybe it’s a lack of respect for Pele and (Diego) Maradona, but for me he is.

“I’ve never seen anyone like him as a coach. I can’t imagine him maintaining this continuity for 15-20 years. When you saw him close up, you thought of Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan and we were able to work with him.”

The type of player whose artistry transcends beyond what can be seen on the pitch was even called “amazing” and “magic” by his great competitor, Cristiano Ronaldo.

There are many superstar athletes throwing hats into the ring for the “goat” throne, but Messi himself believes that one man stands above his achievements.

Messi: Michael Jordan is the greatest athlete ever

Talk in the crank! Messi, a 2024 podcast, revealed that NBA legend Michael Jordan believes he is a true “goat.”

“To me, he is the best in terms of sports.

“But after watching his series and knowing a little more about him, you’ll be the ‘The Last Dance’, which only blows your mind, it’s a masterpiece and impressive.

“Well, that’s to bring me closer to him and to get a little more understanding of who he is.

Jordan won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls, picking the 6-0 final record to six incredible finals, and won five regular season MVP awards.

The 62-year-old is known for his pure will and competitiveness, driving his teammates to succeed via brute force when necessary, and Scotty Pippen admits he is a “great teammate” because he is “competitive 24/7”.

Messi’s former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe considers LeBron James the best ever, but his reputation and influence as one of Jordan’s first true, true superstars makes him alone on the pedestal.
