One of today’s top football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo, has inked a new two-year deal with Al Nassr that will keep him at the club until 2027.

Al Nassr teased the signing moment before making the news official, sharing a video titled “The Story Continues,” which showed Ronaldo walking along the beach before declaring, “Al Nassr Forever.”

At 40 years old, Ronaldo first joined the Saudi club in 2022 after leaving Manchester United. His initial contract made headlines due to a staggering annual salary of 200 million euros. With an expiration date of June, there were speculations about his potential departure from the club.

The details of his new contract have not been disclosed.

Ronaldo, who has had a storied career in Europe with clubs like Manchester United during two separate periods, Real Madrid, and Juventus, is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in football history.

Even at this stage in his career, Ronaldo continues to deliver impressive performances, having scored 74 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances for Al Nassr. Despite finishing as the league’s top scorer, he helped his team secure only third place in the Saudi Arabian Professional League last season.

This news is significant for soccer fans as it showcases Ronaldo’s enduring influence on the sport, particularly in a growing market like Saudi Arabia. His continued presence could elevate the profile of the league and inspire young players, ultimately advancing football’s development in the region.
