Fans went out to Shy Gilgauss Alexander, despite the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Minnesota Timber Wolves to win Game 1.

The Oklahoma City Thunder made sure to snatch a key Game 1 victory over the Minnesota Timber Wolves. They currently have advantages in the Western Conference Finals.

Shy Gilgauss Alexander was incredible, sealing the victory with 31 points. On his side was Jalen Williams, who also made a strong 19-point outing.

The Thunder is currently 1-0 on the dangerous Timberwolves side. This is by no means a commander’s lead, but it’s something they’re willing to take.

But even with the 31-point performance, NBA fans have been extremely critical of Shy Gilgauss Alexander, a critique we’ve heard many times.

NBA fans took him to X and reacted to Thunder’s victory over the Timberwolves. The general topic was that Shy tried 14 free throws in the game.

One disgruntled fan simply wrote, “That’s embarrassing for the MVP.”

Another fan enjoyed shy, saying, “The free throw merchants are doing it.”

A third fan denounced Shy’s flops, saying, “He’s literally falling on his own!”

Fans believed the poor first half was due to one reason, claiming that “it was just whining to come out.”

“SGA had already seen the series boringly,” wrote while fans accused Shy of not playing in an exciting way.

Another fan reflected these feelings, “Not all his flops!”

NBA fans weren’t the only ones to call Shy Gilgauss Alexander for his free throw reliance. NBA commentator Doris Burke mentioned it during the air.

Obviously, as good as Shy, there is a large part of the NBA fanbase who is tired of the way he pulls out a foul.

NBA players respect him, and Anthony Edwards praises Shy for being unstoppable on the offensive end of the court.

After all, SGA will likely be stunned by fan criticism given the success he is experiencing now.
