Jamie Coward has been forced to withdraw from Isle of Man TT due to injury, and his replacement is named.

Mike Brown is instead riding in the Coward location for the KTS race in the 2025 TT’s 1000cc race.

Brown was set to represent MLAV races on the BMW M1000RR, but instead races similar bikes for KTS races on Superbikes, Superstock and Senior TT.

Coward, who swapped the Honda for a BMW, was expected to compete for the podium at this year’s TT.

But a crash at the Northwest 200 – excluded him after he was impressive in sixth place in the superbike race.

Jamie Coward: “Gutted is an understatement.”

“First, I would like to thank you for the post-crash message and hope at Northwest 200,” Coward said.

“Thank you to all the former s and medics, nurses and doctors who took care of me at my trackside and at the hospital, as well as team owner Kevin and main sponsor Stanley Stewart.

“Unfortunately, my injuries, the main one is really serious head injuries and I can’t compete in the Isle of Man TT race.

“I am absolutely devastated about it as me and the KTS team worked well as usual and with the new bike.

“(I) was as fast as the circuit I’ve said before, and everything was fine with the Northwest 200. It was really good that Thursday’s race day was a few years away.

“(I would like to apologise to the KTS Macadam Factory Racing and the KTS Racing team. I’m involved with all the sponsors and both teams. I’ll also become my personal sponsor and 36 club members.

“Gutted is an understatement. I’ll see you soon if possible.”

Meanwhile, Brown was suffering from technical difficulties at MLAV Racing BMW at 200 Northwest. Also, components were slow supply.

Team owner Michael Rayberty agreed to move Brown to the KTS race.

Brown said: “First of all, I hope Jamie has a quick recovery. I am extremely hoping to join the KTS racing team and improve last year’s results.”

Kevin Watlett, owner of the KTS Racing Team, added: “We all hope that Jamie is injured following his off at 200 Northwest and he recovers quickly. We welcome the Mike along with KTS. Let’s see if we can get good results for him.”

The 2025 Hitotsu TT Island will begin on Monday, May 26th.
