The MLB World Series is one of the most illustrious titles in the sport, so we considered the last 10 winners and MVPs each year.

Who will win the 2025 MLB World Series?

The 2025 MLB season is on track as the Los Angeles Dodgers maintain their World Series title and are about to win the trophy for the first time in franchise history.

However, reaching the MLB World Series will not be easy for the Dodgers this season as the likes of the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and New York Mets are about to finish the top of the national league.

When it comes to the American League, the Detroit Tigers are currently leading the way, earning the most wins from either division. He has won 33 games from his previous 50 games.

The top six teams from both conferences enter the MLB playoff stage, with the top two teams from each conference earning bye bye to the “Division Series”, with the third seed playing the sixth seed and the fourth seed winning the fifth seed.

The team that won the conference, which said goodbye to the Division Series, will then face the fourth vs fifth winner, with the second seed winning the third seed vs sixth seed winner.

Four teams will then face off, two in the National League Championship Series, two in the American League Championship Series, and the winner will compete in the World Series.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finished their four-year spell without a title with a 4-1 victory over the New York Yankees in the Best of 7 Series to win the MLB World Series last year.

One of the highest paid players in MLB, Shohei Ohtani supported his World Series debut ton, becoming the first team to overturn a 5-0 deficit with the Dodgers clinching the trophy and the Dodgers ordered the series.

In 2023, the Texas Rangers won their first World Series since their founding in 1961, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1, a rather dominant display.

It was the first time since 1989 when two teams from the same state won consecutive World Series championships, as another Texas franchise won the title in 2022.

This Texas-based side was nothing more than the Houston Astros, who won the MLB World Series 4-2 for the first time since 2017 and returned from 2-1 to win the trophy.

In 2021, the Atlanta Braves won their first MLB World Series title, beating the Houston Astros 4-2 since 1955, and added their fourth World Series trophy.

It was the Radgers who won the 4-2 World Series victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020, but it was a unique experience as the entire series took place at Globe Lifefield in Arlington, Texas.

Who won the most MLB World Series title?

There is a clear winner when it comes to the MLB franchise winning the most World Series titles, as the New York Yankees have won 27 championships throughout history.

However, the Yankees have not won baseball’s biggest award since 2009 until last year’s World Series. The 2009 victory was the last time the Yankees reached their final final.

The St. Louis Cardinals placed second, with 11 World Series named and the Boston Red Sox and Oakland track and field have won the trophy nine times.
