Geneva – Novak Djokovic has won one from his 100th career single title on the ATP Tour after reaching the final at the Geneva Open on Friday.

The 24-time Grand Slam singles champions defeated British qualifier Cameron Nolly 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1 in the semi-finals after sliding match-point chances in the second set.

Djokovic will play Hubert Halkac in the final on Saturday.

Paul, 31st, passed Austrian qualifiers Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-4.

Djokovic already achieved his main objective of coming to Geneva, earning match practice at Clay before heading to Roland Garos for the French Open starting Sunday.

The three consecutive days of victory at the Lakeside Park event – including his 38th birthday on Thursday – lost the opening match at last month’s clay court event (Monte Carlo and Madrid).

Djokovic kicked out 5-2 in the second set, winning three straight games and retaining match points with the tiebreaker. He netted the service return and Nolly quickly forced the decision set.

The third early service break was supported by dominant servings, and Djokovic closed the semi-finals of the unusual sun-scattered courtroom this week.
