Arsenal Transfer Chief Andrea Berta is personally eager to the high revenue center, reportedly jumping on the chance to join Mikel Arteta’s side.

Recent reports show that two players currently stand out as Arsenal’s most desirable striker targets – sportsstar Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

It is expected to continue this summer a little more.

It is clear that if you pass through fields and out-of-field numbers, you will see why this is true.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gyokeres, who has achieved an astounding 53 goals in all competitions for the sport this season, could also depart the Primeira Liga side for a fee of up to £60 million.

Meanwhile, Sesko’s current release clause is £67 million, and Slovenia International actually improved its score tally from last season (18).

According to several reports in Portugal earlier this week, Arsenal said Gyoker agreed to a £59 million fee to sign from Sport (O Jogo), but the claim appears to have jumped over the gun.

The pursuit of Arsenal’s top scorer remains very open as Berta has identified the targets he thinks are best for Arteta.

Interestingly, according to journalist Simon Phillips, Arteta personally prefers Sesco, but Berta is considered a Gyoker fan.

But what’s clear is the obvious need for another Arsenal striker. Arteta was forced to use midfielder Mikel Merino as an emergency for most of the calendar year, due to the injury to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Helberts.

The latter has since returned to action, but as Arsenal is looking to make a successful Premier League title challenge, it is essential not to wait any more to sign 25 or more goals per season.

According to some reports, when compared to Sesco and Gyoker, Berta’s shopping list has other centre forwards, but the order of the pecking order is even lower.

Journalist Daniele Longo has written Calciomercato’s work, and shares Juventus striker Duchamp Vlahovich as one of them.

Serbia International has won the final 12 months of its £359,000 weekly contract with Juve, and with no signs of renewal, it seems like he’s going to want to sell him this summer rather than lose Vlahovic in 2026.

Longo says that if Vlahovich is given the opportunity he will join Arsenal “quickly pack his bags and stuff them in,” and Berta says he personally wants the former Florentina star, even if he has fewer transfer priorities.

The “start” price for Vlahovic negotiations is around £42 million. This can be considered good value given that since 2020/21 the “machine” has scored at least 14 goals per season.

If Berta pursues him seriously, Arsenal’s main obstacle would undoubtedly be the horrifying wages of Vlahovic.
