On Friday evening, we saw how important pitching depth was, as eight pitchers were used in 13 wins and 14 other talented weapons were watching from the injured list. The 26-year-old right-hander is waiting on the wing as LA prepares for Game 2 of the series against the New York Mets.
Miller has travelled back to the show. Most recently, he made his 2025 debut in mid-April, allowing six runs in seven innings. Showing a flash of greatness while showing contradictions to the mound has been the tale of Miller’s career in uniforms up until now.

His rookie campaign in 2023 featured a 3.76 ERA in 124.1 innings with a 11-4 record with 22 starts. Miller’s strikeout-to-walk ratio was 3.72, throwing 119 punch-outs into just 32 walks.
The following season brought many struggles to Miller, including shoulder issues and concerns about his command, but the right-hander finished the season with an 8.52 ERA, surpassing 13 big league starts.
2025 saw another set-off during the first Cactus League spring training match as mirrors looked like a season when they returned to their familiar shape. Miller was hit in the head on the 12th spring pitch on his 106 mph line drive.
For those fighting to crack the starting rotation, this has brought the mirror back in quite a bit. In previous Triple A, he has won 4.63 ERAs in eight appearances, totaling 35 innings.
With another chance to prove herself in the majors, Miller will make the most of this next opportunity and return to the magic of the 2023 season. Both he and the now need some of that advantage on the hill.
