Draymond Green found a very clever “Get Out” in Steve Kerr’s latest comment on Jonathan Cuminga, he disagrees

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has a diplomatic view on Steve Kerr’s comments on Jonathan Kminga.

Jonathan Cuminga appears to be heading for the exit from the Golden State Warriors.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was just reminded of him as a starter at the end of the season, benching Kuminga for a crucial game and due to injury.

Kuminga played well, improving his trade value, and Steve Kerr’s latest comment made it more likely that players will leave this offseason.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr issued an eye-opening statement this week on the TK Show, admitting he doesn’t fit in the lineup.

This was not a shock based on comments he made before, but it was worth noting that he chose to say it publicly before a free agency.

Carr said: “I was asked to win, and now he’s not the guy I can say, I’m going to play 38 minutes with the roster we have, Steph, Jimmy, Draymond.

Now, in a comment on his own podcast, Warriors player Draymond Green said he wanted to point out what a particular Steve Kerr said.

Greene wanted to note that Kerr had a direct reference to the current Warriors roster, but even if Kuminga stays, it could change this summer.

Green explained: “I don’t know if he said ‘On this roster we have’, Jonathan Cuminga isn’t saying he couldn’t play 38 minutes anywhere, become a successful player, an impactful player, and perhaps not able to reach his promise. That’s not what he said.

That’s a valid point, except for the fact that the Warriors’ easiest path to improving their roster might actually be to trade Kuminga.

Draymond Green says in this example he disagrees with Jonathan Cuminga’s Steve Kerr rating.

He explained: “I don’t know that I necessarily agree.

“And I’m not thinking that something goes wrong, it’s that you haven’t had the chance to see a lot of it.”

However, he postponed Kerr’s impressive track record, mentioning the 2024 Parisiolmap and dropped Jason Tatum.

“I also think if you look at Steve, one of the things he shows as a coach is making the decision that he thinks he is the best, regardless of what it is.

“We’re talking about the same guy, the same legend that didn’t play Jason Tatum at the Olympics, and we dealt with all the Flak that came with it.

“But in the end, to his point, his ultimate goal is to win, and they won the gold medal, and that’s what he’s trying to do.”
