KTM rider Pedroa Costa says he will not be “patient” through the brand’s current MotoGP struggle, saying he “is not waiting for all my life to become champion.”
Pedro Acosta was saved by sixth in a chaotic race on Sunday, but the British Grand Prix proved to be a difficult weekend for the KTM brand.
Acosta issued a fiery statement on Silverstone on Saturday, endorsing KTM’s ability to build a good bike, but urged it to deliver the solution faster.
After Sunday’s Grand Prix, when he branded “desperate race,” Acosta says KTM’s lack of rear grip caused him too many problems.
“Well, it’s not a strange race. It was a race of despair,” he said.
“It’s very sad to see that other bikes don’t have this amount of grip that other bikes have, aiming to pick up (bikes) and (lean) angles, close with others and close (to others) and lose everything.
“But that’s what it is and we have to continue.”
KTM from Pedro Acosta: “I don’t accept, I’m not patient.”

When asked by Crash.net if he needed to accept the situation now and learn patience, Acosta responded honestly.
“Challenges are once in my life. I will not take everything in my life to be the champion of this championship. I need help from the factory. That’s it.
“You’re just young until you’re not.
“Many stars in the Championship grow very quickly and disappear quickly. Fredispenser.
“Do you remember? He won two titles, had something in his arm and didn’t come back the same way.
“Finally, it’s not just me. I’ve been struggling a lot this weekend after seeing four ktms since the second quarter of this week. I need help from the factory.
“Now I’m talking about four riders – not just me.”
Acosta is linked to a move away from KTM at the end of the season, but once again he still spends another year on his current contract, claiming he “really believes in this project.”
“But this weekend I told you very seriously that I needed help,” he said.
“I don’t want to come here with KTM and burn fuel, I want to compete.
“Today, I was able to compete more or less. When I was in the group of Mark (Marquez), Franco (Morbidelli), Jack (Miller), and Alex (Marquez) at once, I couldn’t fight.
“This is what burns my blood, it’s so close that I can’t catch it and do it.
